Back from the fair

I picked up my bags today. Here is another shot of the MSB with its ribbons and certificate. The purple ribbon says Best of Fair Knitting and Spinning.

Here is the red and black tote bag with its second place ribbon. I stuck one of my husband's textbooks in it to make it stand up but it still looks a little funky. It is wider at the bottom than at the top so I think that is why it looks like it has feet :-)

The judges wrote comments on the back of the ID tags. On the MSB they wrote "Very well done"
and on the other one they wrote "Very much work.Well done". Almost sounds like they liked the second one better...I actually like the red and black one better, but I wasn't one of the judges, was I?

HILARIOUS!! At the Oklahoma State Fair we have stuff like corn and turkey legs and cows with ribbons! Your art is beautiful though! Love the colors!!

LOL Believe me, Wayne county has its share of cows and chickens and corn. This was the first time I had ever entered the domestic competition. It was fun...

Wow.. thoes look great.. congrats on the awards : )

When you get your book, you'll have to let me know if you were annoyed with it as I was about the blurred pictures..

It actually does have nice patterns in it.. but I don't have much money to spend on knitting, so when I do it has to be REALLY worth it, and that book just wasn't to me...
