Sorry it's been so long. There hasn't been a whole lot of knitting going on lately. I did make a "warshrag" from Mason Dixon knitting. My daughter wanted to make one and asked me to knit along with her. We had our own little KAL...it was fun. I also made the bathmat from MDK but put it in my kitchen instead. Here is an in progress pic
I also finished a felted sunflower I had started last fall! I am trying to work through my stash and UFO's. I don't have a finished pic of them...I am still picking fuzz off!
I kind of feel I am losing my knitting mojo...I just don't feel like knitting lately. I have been spending a lot of time surfing and not much time knitting. I guess I have been stressed with recent events with my daughter. But it looks like things are taking a turn for the better where that is concerned...Thank god for great doctors and new medicine :-)
Another reason I haven't been knitting much is because I sold this car

Yes folks, that is a 2006 Toyota Prius in Driftwood Pearl...package #7 for those that know about the Prius. This car is amazing! I had considered buying one last fall but then the gas prices in my area dropped a bit and I just couldn't justify the cost. Well gas is back up and expected to make $4 a gallon before summer is over. I went to a local dealer and was already to write the check for the deposit and wait 1-2 months for it to come in but they tried to low ball me on my trade in. I told them I was offended and left. The following Monday I went to another dealer who ended up giving me $6000 more than what the first dealer offered for my trade plus reduced the price of the another $1000. That is unheard of because these cars sell at MSRP OR ABOVE, no questions asked. There is such a high demand for them. And the best part of the deal is this car was sitting on the showroom floor and was available! While I was finalizing my deal, at least 3 other people were looking at the car and wanting to buy it. When my salesman put the SOLD sign on, one lady slapped her husband on the arm and said "I told you someone was going to buy it...you waited too long"!!
So this car is unlike any other I have driven. I have been spending a lot of time over at Priuschat.com. There is a wealth of information over there.
I have also been spending a bunch of time surfing the net to find out how to hack my new cellphone. I bought a bluetooth phone on EBay so it could integrate with my car! But I have Verizon wireless and they cripple some of the functionality of their phones. I was able to hack it and get certain features working and I love it.
And speaking of EBay...I decided after buying the new phone I would try to sell my 2 old cell phones. If you are interested, you can see the Motorola V325
and the Kyocera SE47 that I have up for sale. This is my first time selling anything on EBay. I have had 3 people ask me to end the auction and do it a Buy it Now instead. I politely turned them down. I have done some research on the EBay sellers board and most of the experienced sellers recommend against this. It seems that the "buyers" are looking to scam me because my feedback is so low and because I am selling cellphones.
So, that's my excuse for not blogging lately...I leave you with a couple of shots of my favorite cat (and my namesake) Reno:

He likes to lean...I have never seen another leaning cat :-)

Would you believe that I know what it's like to not feel like blogging? : P
Glad to hear that your daughter is doing better.. and your new car looks pretty nifty.. It sounds like a pretty great car buying experience (With the second dealer atleast.) I bet you're telling everyone where to go buy a car now.. lol.
I think I've found the secret remody to the knitting/blogging funk... Buy yourself something knittish ; )
Hey Kim. Never feel guilty about not blogging (says she who has gone for a couple of months without); it's good to see you back. Love your bathmat--I, too have been on an MDK kick and have one on the needles, but it's so effin' hot here it's hard to slog all that cotton around.
Loving your MDKnitting! Also love your new car...hybrids are very cool and becoming more and more popular.
Happy to hear your daughter is doing better.
Ahh, we love Ebaying, both selling and buying!
Hey everyone! Glad to see people are actually still reading my (seldom updated) blog.
Terri...I am upstate from you but it is hot hot hot here. 92 today and supposed to be 97 tomorrow...that is just not right. Someone said 100 on Wednesday! Yikes.
Hey Girl!
Long time no blog, huh! Life has a way of interfering with such things!
Someone left a message on my blog that you were knitting another Lady E! I'd love to see it..I have yarn in hand for her, but can't decide if I will knit her or 3 or 4 other shawls 1st.
Happy Knitting!!!
HAHA I am not knitting another Lady E! I wonder who thinks I am?
I am currently working on a short sleeve top made out of Elann Esprit which is a twin to Fixation. What a different kind of yarn that is lol.
I took Ene to our local fair and won first place. :-)
