Since I had Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday off for Thanksgiving break, I got a lot of knitting accomplished. We went to Martin's sister's house for Thanksgiving dinner so I only had to make a sweet potato/cranberry caserole.
I have been working on Ene's scraf from Scarf Style. Some of you may recall I started this a couple of months ago but had to frog it because I was horribly off. I am pleased to say I made it through the first chart of the pattern and it is right on target.
Once I got into the groove of this pattern, I am enjoying it. It certainly is not mindless knitting, but having a few days off has allowed me to concentrate on it.
I have been wanting a place to store my DPN's but haven't wanted to spend the money on a needle case. I was doing some surfing the other day and found this tutorial and decided to give it a try. It is really well written and this is what I came up with
This was made at no cost to me: all the materials came from stuff in my stash. The fabric is left over from a quilt I made and I added some batting to make it quilted. I am going to make an I cord in purple to wrap around it to close it.
And this is what it looks like rolled up:
I also finished up my KR gift elf's gift. I am just waiting for her to send me her address so I can mail it off...I hope she likes what I am sending her!
And finally...my yarn for Ribby arrived today and I love it. I will take a pic of it tomorrow in the daylight, it is hard to see the contrast at night. The two colors are close, but they are different. I wanted two colors but not a huge contrast. After obsessing about what size to make, I have decided to make the 40/41. I think that will work out just fine.

very nice - can't wait to see more =)
Horray! I love how your DPN case turned out. The needles looks so happy and cozy. I'm also glad someone got use out of the pattern.
Thanks Flatlander! I searched for a pattern to do a needle case and found a couple but liked yours the best!
