Well, Ene is blocked...and did she ever grow! Fresh off the needles, unblocked she was 29" from the top to the point and 46" across the top edge. After blocking she is 39" from the top to the point and 75" across the top edge! I love the size.
Here is a shot a little closer to show the detail
Reno seems to approve
And what do you get when 2 cats (who barely tolerate each other when they can go outside and roam a couple of acres) have been stuck inside for the past week because it has been C*O*L*D here?
Lucky for them, they did not roll up and fight on top of Ene!
And a Ribby Cardi update:
I am making the ribbed version and doing the back and sides in one piece. It is about 9 inches long so far. I love this yarn. It is the new Sierra Aran from Elann in the color Mallard. I plan to do the sleeves in jasper which is a darker green color. Although I have been thinking about ordering more of the Malllard and making it one color...hmm...wonder how pratical interchangeable sleeves would be???...NAHH

Your Enes is gorgeous! What a great job.
Thank you Twig...this was my first lace project and I really enjoyed knitting it.
Wow, Kim, gorgeous. You should definitely wear it draped shawl-like instead of scrunched up like a scarf to show its true glory.
Thanks Terri...I have a dressy black winter coat that I am going to wear it with. I definetly want to show it off...
Wow.. nice : ) I love seeing lace blocked out.. it's amazing!
I think you'll like making the ribby better if you stick with the two colors.. it does get boring after knitting the body in all one piece.. The color change adds just enough intrest to get ya through it : )
Beautiful - funny - and back to beautiful =) I've been thinking of tackeling lace soon - but I keep not doing it =) that's pretty enough to try, though!
Your Ene's Scarf is gorgeous! The yarn you used goes really well with the pattern.
Congrats on finishing Ene! It looks stunning!!
