I haven't blocked it yet. This took me about a month to do. I cast on in the middle of November, I think and I was also working on my KR gift elf present and Samus.
I used Jaeger Matchmaker 4 ply merino. I ended up using 3.5 balls. I am not sure how big it turned out...I plan to measure then block and remeasure and will let you all know the end results. This was my first lace project and while I had a few false starts, I enjoyed and recommend it to anyone up to their first lace challenge.
On a family note, we had our family christmas party this weekend. I told my favorite aunt about my blog and she said she would check it out...I can't wait for her to see my knitting!
And last but certainly not least...you will never guess what was in my mailbox this afternoon....yup, a package from my KR gift elf, Wendy Here is a peek at what she sent me:
Wendy was overly generous! She sent me the book Folk Shawls, 6 (!) skeins of WOTA yarn from Knitpicks, a yarn cutter, a candle, some chocolate (that she said I had to share with my hubby and daughter ) and a yarn meter! Thank you so much Wendy! You have been a great gift elf!

WOW! **sigh** I don't think I could BE more envious. =)
Beeyootiful, Kim!
How pretty! I'd heard horror stories about the Enes. I can't believe that was your first lace project!
Ene was tough, but worth it! If you try it, make sure you have lots of stitch markers on hand...
Beautiful.....I am so proud of your talent.
The detail is amazing...the shawl is awesome
Where did you learn to knit
Aunt Peggy
Hi Aunt Peggy!
I saw Uncle Joe today and he told me you left me a message.
My mom taught me to knit when I was little but I never made anything. About a year ago I bought a book and retaught myself.
