After blocking and seaming the Lana Grossa cardigan, it is way too big! It is about 52"!!!! I have no idea how that happened. The pattern originally had a finished chest of 37". I thought I added 6" to end up with 43" but apparently not.
So, I have unseamed the two fronts and frogged them. I am going to reknit the fronts as written, no extra repeats. I figure that will take me a couple of weeks to do.

The WHOLE THING is a do over? oh, girl! You are more brave than I. **faint** - OY, my head!
sorry... SO sorry whyaaaaahhh
It sure is beautiful! I know you'll be happy with the finished project, tho. You need Grumperina aka: GENIUS type help to make sure of the math before you start again, just to double check. I'm sure I would have to get help. Especially after that experience.
Sorry about the frog pond. We all make these kind of mistakes now and again, you know. I just made a moebius on a top I was making...had to frog, too.
April...just the fronts need to be redone...shouldn't take long. I still think my math was correct but the sweater grew somehow :-)
Sorry to hear the cardi was too big! It is going to be gorgeous when you are finished, though.
How frustrating... Erm.. did you wash your gauge swatch to see if the yarn grows with washing/blocking? That's the only thing I can think of that would have gone wrong.
Hey.. we're three Kims in a row!
